Factset Inspector

For Factset’s 2025 Hackathon, I led a team of three to create and build an Ai powered tool to improve internal product development. The Factset Inspector is an internal browser extension with the goal to provide a central source for engineers, designers, and product developers. This tool helps develop consistent products with cross functional teams by linking all related information and resources where a user expects to see it! For years, management teams have asked for a “single source of truth” for internal links. With this tool, the product, the live Factset web workstation, is the centralized and up-to-date resource.

I worked with an ML engineer to use LLM technology to build a prototype within the 24 hour time frame. This LLM solution also prevents security vulnerabilities that are common in linking multiple systems.

The Factsetter would begin by launching a Factset application in a browser window. Here, they would launch the inspector to access a centralized list of internal resources. Resources include Figma Design Library documentation, Story Book, Jira, Confluence and User Support Tickets.
